Dog Dental Care

There's no better time to start a dental program for your pet than when they are puppies! By doing so, your pet will be happier and healthier.

Puppy Dental Care

Ok. You're excited about your new puppy! You want it to pay attention and learn all your commands. (especially the house-training!) But something you have to think about is the general health of your new puppy - particularly Puppy Teeth.

To make sure your pet maintains healthy teeth throughout its life, you need to establish a basic routine of dog dental care when your dog is still a puppy. It will make it that much easier as your pet gets older

As a dog begins to age, it's common for them to have dental problems. Their teeth will turn brown or their gums can get tender.

And let's not forget the term "a dog's breath" - it can certainly turn foul smelling!

Some dogs will also get broken teeth, bleeding gums and even certain growths in their mouths. This can be quite disconcerting as well as uncomfortable for your dog.

The good news is that dog dental care products are available at almost any pet store.

One of the simplest ways to keep your dog's teeth good & healthy is with dental chews. Puppies love chewing and dog dental chews are particularly helpful.

There are also rinses or pastes that your dog's teeth and gums will benefit from. What is even better is to brush your dog's teeth. You'll find dog dental care tooth brushes at any pet supply store.

Remember though - no matter if you choose rinses, dental pastes, or brushing, you should get a good dog dental care routine started while your pet is still a puppy.

Getting your puppy used to having teeth brushed, rinsed or applying paste is sure to prevent many future dog dental problems. Your puppy should get used to having you touch her mouth and teeth.

Avoid unnecessary dental expenses and complications - start puppy dental care early.
